Coronavirus Update

Thursday 13 March 2020,

Dear parents,

We have recently had several inquiries from parents in regards to COVID-19.

We have been receiving regular advice and guidance from the Department for Education as well as Public Health England and will keep you updated of any information via either our Facebook page, our newsletter via our website or posters within the setting.

At present, we are assured that the risk to the Telford public remains low and therefore operation will continue as normal.

However to ensure we are keeping the risk of infection to a minimum the following additional measures will be implemented starting immediately.

Parents will not be allowed into school or Nursery at opening and closing times.

Reading mornings are cancelled for the immediate future.

All visitors to the school office will be asked to use antibacterial hand wash.

We are in discussion with the centres of any school visit and are assessing the risk daily.

If your child is unwell or demonstrating cold and flu symptoms, we ask that where possible you keep them at home to recover.

However, if your child has any of the coronavirus symptoms (high temperature, a new continuous cough) then they should stay at home for 7 days.

Please remember to follow school policy to report absence.

If we feel your child is too unwell at school, we will contact you so please ensure we have relevant up to date contact details.

We always ask that children do not bring in toys from home, however this does still sometimes happen and we would like to ask in the interest of hygiene that you discourage children from bringing them in.

If you have a confirmed case of COVID-19 (corona virus) within your family, we would ask that you do not send your child to school or Nursery and that you call to inform us as soon as possible.

Please do not feel the need to express your concerns at members of staff or on Facebook; this situation is out of our control and we are following directives from above. We will inform you of any changes as soon as we are know.
