STRIKE ACTION

Wednesday 5th July and Friday 7th July

Dear families,

I am writing to advise you that on Wednesday 5th July 2023, the following classes will be closed due to strike action.

Year R – Miss Lancett’s class

Year 6 – Mr Broderick’s class

Year 5 – Mrs Lane’s class

On Friday 7th July, the following classes will be closed due to Strike Action

Year 1 – Mrs Lendrum’s class

Year 2 – Mrs Dornan’s class

Thank you for your understanding and your continued support of our teachers. It has not been an easy decision for our teaching team however as a school we support all teachers as they are doing it to ensure that any pay increase is funded so that it does not continue to negatively impact on the education of our children.

Kind regards,

Katy Tomlinson

Headteacher

Summer Open Evening – Tuesday 18th July.

Summer Open Evening

Please click the link above to find information about our Summer Open Evening on Tuesday 18th July.

This is a great opportunity for you to come along, look through your child’s learning books and discuss your child’s year: their strengths, their achievements and things that they need to continue to work on next year. It will also give you the chance to discuss anything you may be worried about when they move into their next year.

There will be uniform on sale.

We have had to change the date due to an assembly clash but we would still love you to come for breakfast with us on Monday 19th June, 8.30am – 9.30am.

If you would like a place, please let the office know by Friday!

Thanks Mrs T

Celebrating our Inclusive School!

Dear all,

June is Pride month and to show our support we will be encouraging children and staff to come to school dressed in colourful clothing. We pride ourselves on being inclusive of everyone regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.

There is no charge for this and if you do not wish to participate then please come in school uniform.

What is Early Help?

What is Early Help?

Please click the link above for more information!

We want all children at Sir Alexander Fleming Primary School and Nursery to enjoy a happy, safe and healthy childhood and be able to reach their full potential. Sometimes a child or family might need extra support, and we want to find the best way forward for everyone as quickly as possible. EARLY HELP means taking action to support a child, young person or their family as soon as a problem emerges. It can be required at any stage in a child’s life, from pre-birth to adulthood, and applies to any problem or need that the family can’t deal with alone.

Our Early Help offer at SAF is extensive and it is to enable everyone to work together to put your family at the heart of decisions made about your child.
