Year 3- EKO at Weston Park

We are so proud of our Year 3 children who were lucky enough to attend ‘EKO’ @ Weston park today. Our children were complimented for their beautiful manners, creative ideas and super listening skills- their behaviour was exemplary! In the morning, the children enjoyed a range of creative activities from building mini art galleries to observational sketches. We also explored the mazes and looked around the art gallery. The children loved discussing their favourite paintings, the colours and how they made them feel. After some lunch, we were able to enjoy a forest walk and ‘forest school experience’: den building, smore making and mud kitchens were just some of the wonderful activities involved. We are very grateful for a fantastic afternoon arranged by EKO@Weston Park.

C is for Community

Last term, we were exploring our community and people who help us. On Tuesday, Amy, Tom and Shaun, our local police officers visited us and explained their job and how they keep us all safe. They showed us where people who broke the law were placed in the van to transport them to the station. We were also able to listen to the siren and see the lights flashing.

NSPCC: Speak out. Stay safe!

NSPCC

Good afternoon,

I am pleased to tell you that this term we will be participating in the NSPCC’s Speak out. Stay safe. online programme. I have attached a letter for you to look over which outlines the details.

Mrs Vickers, our PSHE lead, would be delighted to answer any queries you may have about this workshop.

Art day in Reception 13.3.23

Art days in reception are wonderful! This art day we have created watercolour daffodils, printed in clay and studied a Ghanaian artist Ablade Glover. We created our own pieces based upon Ablade’s bright creations.

What a wonderful day at Blists Hill!

We were so proud of our Reception children today.

They represented our school perfectly – staying SAFE; being SUCCESSFUL with the long walk; having PRIDE in their work at the school; showing RESPECT to others around the town and being BRAVE when we went in the dark mine.

The children enjoyed learning about life in the past, and how different it is now. Can they tell you something that is different?
