Poetry day with Pep the Poet

We had a fantastic visit from Pep the poet. He treated us to some funny, inspiring and silly poems. Our favourite part was when Pep read his poems in different accents and encouraged us to fill in the rhyming words. We laughed and wanted to write our own poems, just like Pep!

Sports Day 2023

We had a great time participating in Sports Day and followed the school values of safety, pride, respect, bravery and success. We enjoyed cheering on our friends and we all tried our best. Our favourite part was watching the parents join in with the parents race. It was a fantastic afternoon!

Library Visit

On Friday 16th June, Mrs Dornan-Steer’s class walked to Madeley Library and we had a fantastic time. We loved looking at the selection of books, finding cosy areas to sit and read together and listening to a lovely poem read by the librarian. We received lots of compliments from the people in and around the library about our behaviour and how passionate we were about books and reading. It was great that we had the chance to take some books home too and we were so excited to get back to school to read them!

Rock Kidz

We have had a fantastic day with Rock Kidz; through the power of rock music, we jumped, we danced and we cheered, all while learning about our self-esteem, well-being and the importance of antibullying!

Bouncy Castle Fun!

Year 2 loved racing each other on the bouncy castle, it was Miss Jones’ class versus Mrs Dornan-Steer’s class. We are not sure who won, but we all had a fantastic time!
