Please practice this weeks spellings with your child at home. Spellings help to improve English writing across all subjects and areas and are a key part of improving our writing through school. The spelling test scores have improved greatly since we have been practicing them at home! They will be tested on Friday- Thank you! 🙂

Year 5 – EXPLORE UNIVERSITY PROJECT

Today, we have been busy learning about university life. The “Explore University” project is organised by Keele University, Staffordshire University, University of Wolverhampton and Harper Adams University and aims to help primary school children understand more about university. The children were challenged to recreate many aspects of a university using lego. Year 5 showed great resilience, teamwork and imagination throughout the morning. Well done!

As a school, we are always looking at how we can improve and offer the best education and experiences for our children as well as the support we offer parents . We would appreciate it very much if you would take the time to complete the Parent Survey through the link here.

Scholastic Book Fair

We are holding a Scholastic Book Fair from

Thursday 11^th-November until Wednesday 17^th November, 3:00pm-4:00pm.

There is also lots of stationery to buy!

These may be an ideal gift, especially with Christmas just around the corner.

The children are visiting the Book Fair during the day and will bring back lots of information about books that they are interested in.

You can pay on the day you visit the fair by cash or card, using your phone. Or you can pre-order any of the books on the invitation above by clicking this link and selecting ‘I am unable to attend the Book Fair.’
