SPORTS DAY – YEAR 5

Fantastic work today year 5 and 6! The children should be very proud of their resilience and sportsmanship on our sports day.

     

 

     

LEGO COMPETITION UPDATE

LEGO EXPLORE COMPETITION UPDATE

       

The children have been busy today exploring how to code lego, ready for their upcoming Lego Explore competition at the end of the month. Well done guys, we are really proud of all of your hard work!

 

BOUNCY CASTLE

Year 5 enjoyed the bouncy castle today – here is a snapshot of the fun they had.

     

        

LIBRARY VISIT

         

Mrs Lane’s class were lucky enough today to visit Madeley library.  They had a lovely tour of the different sections at the library and learnt how to check their books out. They are looking forward to reading their new selection of books, including some of their chosen ones for us to enjoy in the classroom.

MATHS WEEK

Year 5 have been enjoying celebrating maths week with some lovely NRICH activities – here’s a little peek at one of the patterns they discovered today.

SCIENCE – MAKING BUTTER

Year 5 have been making butter today ‘The Viking Way’ today in their science lesson.

They worked scientifically, making observations and taking measurements throughout the lesson.

ENRICHMENT

What a lovely afternoon the children have had enjoying their wide range of enrichment activities. The children have taken part in a wide range of activities, here are a few examples of the enriching experiences they’ve had today.

FUN AT THE HAZELS

Mrs Lane’s class had great fun testing out natural colours from mashed fruit and vegetables to dye wool as part of their current history topic (The Anglo-Saxons). They worked scientifically to make predictions and create experiments to test their theories. They can’t wait for their next visit to The Hazels.
