Sport Relief Obstacle Course

SPORT RELIEF @ SAF

Tuesday 10th March

Super SAF Obstacle Course

In order to raise money for Sport Relief and encourage our children to be as fit and healthy as possible, we are having a ‘Super SAF’ obstacle course tomorrow during the day! Our PE team have planned it and it looks amazing!

They will need to bring a warm PE kit (jogging bottoms, jumper, trainers, a towel) that can get wet and muddy!

Whatever the weather, the children will be outside!

The children will need to bring their sponsor form with the money they have collected (this will also cover the bounceathon)  or a contribution of £1 to participate.

A huge thank you to the families who have donated so generously already!

Let’s get muddy!

Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths day

The children had a fantastic time conducting lots of different experiments in the nursery today.

We created a volcanic eruption, blew lots and lots of bubbles, enjoyed feeling the gloop and making flip books.

SAF Bounceathon for Sport Relief

As you all know, we love a challenge at Sir Alexander Fleming Primary School, so we will be raising money for Sport Relief over the week 9th-13th March.

One of our challenges will be a 24 hour Bounceathon!

The bouncing will commence on Thursday 12th March at 4.30pm and finish on Friday 13th March at 4.30pm.

Please donate generously as it’s for an amazing cause.

World Book Day – Thursday 5 March

World Book Day – Thursday 5 March

As a school, we believe that reading is important as it helps you to discover new things by enabling you to educate yourself in any area of life you are interested in and to do your own research and thinking. Reading opens the mind and imagination and the creative side of a person.

We will be celebrating World Book Day 2020 by encouraging the children to share a ‘Million Stories’ and they are invited to attend school dressed in their PJs so that we can have one big bedtime story.

There will also be a reading challenge set for the week, which involves children reading at certain points during the day. We will be encouraging children to read for 15 minutes 3 times a day, listen to a story once a day and read at home every evening. If your child achieves this, they get a stamp on their ‘Reading Challenge’ card and at the end of the week will be entered into a prize draw!

There is no charge for this event.
