No Pens Wednesday

In year 6, we have enjoyed using story prompts to create stories to share and act in front of the class. We also had great fun ‘speed meeting’ where we had to decide which questions to ask a friend to get to know them better before they moved on to the next person. We then had a debate to decide whether or not we would choose to have a Covid-19 vaccine.

Miss Kibblewhite’s Class enjoying no pens day!

The children have been very busy despite not picking up a pen all day!

They have created lovely art work based on Van Gogh’s cityscapes, sequenced our forest school day and told each other what we did and we even made a decoration for our school Christmas tree!

Here are some pictures for you to look at!

Forest school day!

They will take part in various activities throughout the day.

Lots of Pudsey fun in Nursery

Nursery have had a fantastic day doing lots of Children in Need activities.

We’ve enjoyed a teddy bears picnic, making and decorating our own Pudsey biscuits and even going on a Pudsey bear treasure hunt.

Art in Year 5

The teaching of art and design at our school instils an appreciation and enjoyment of the visual arts. Year 5 children have certainly enjoyed their curriculum this term – exploring a range of mediums to help them communicate what they see through the elements of colour, texture, tone and pattern. Here are some examples…

Odd Socks Day and Anti-bullying Week

On Monday, if the children (and staff) would like to, they are invited to wear odd socks to school! We will be celebrating differences and appreciation of what makes us unique! In classrooms the children will spend the week focusing on anti-bullying and all of the wonderful ways we can make each other feel safe and happy.

Pudsey fun in Reception…

‘We bring money because children need some toys like me’.

‘It’s because all the children don’t have stuff so we get money’.

‘We raise money to help people and to keep children warm’

Pudsey fun!

We enjoyed lots of Pudsey activities in forest school today.

We made spotty hot chocolate!

We worked as ‘team ant’ to help our blindfolded friend get from Pudsey to Blush! We had to trust one another and show kindness to our partners.

We made clay Pudsey faces on trees using natural collage materials.

Thank you to all of our parents for donating to Children In Need.
