Writing
At Sir Alexander Fleming Nursery and Primary School we recognise the importance of writing to give our pupils the tools that they need to communicate effectively in a wide variety of situations. We are committed to enabling children to recognise the importance of writing for purpose, focussing on the four main purposes of writing to inform, to entertain, to persuade and to discuss. This, therefore, prepares them for learning effectively in secondary school, whilst enabling them to use their knowledge of writing in future employment confidently.
